I kept seeing Erin post on social media about this girl she’s crazy about. Always having fun together, going to festivals, playing sports, going out with friends, and fawning over their pups together. Since I had only really seen Erin in professional settings (as an assistant with our friends Chappelow Events and owner of Social Hunny) I was intrigued by these two and just had the urge to get them in front of my camera. I was due for a “just for fun” shoot this summer, and wanted to try out a few things, including working with the drone. For the past couple of years, I’ve been excited about trying another holi powder shoot as well, and Erin & Victoria just seemed like they’d be down for it. I was fortunate to talk them into a shoot (okay, not much “talking into” was needed), and we went out to our local park for a love and holi powder afternoon. We covered a lot of ground, from using the drone, to throwing powder (I’m STILL finding it in places), to just having a good time in the beautiful golden summer evening light. I absolutely loved working with these two laid back, wonderfully fun, adorably in love ladies, and am forever thankful they were up for joining me while I played with some out-of-the-box techniques.
