One of my longest weddings this year was also one of the most strangely relaxing, and joyful days! I’ve been looking forward to Laura and Tom’s Kansas City Wedding at Boulevard Brewing Company since I first spoke to Laura over Skype several months ago. I’m always extremely excited about weddings where couples are passionate about the photography aspect of their day. I remember when Laura and I first chatted, she was just so friendly and enthusiastic about the idea of working together, and has been a dream to get to know over the past months. Since they have been inducted into my “Client for Life” program, I’m just thrilled to have the chance to see them on a regular basis when they are back in Kansas City and to be able to watch their love and family grow.
Even though October is by far the busiest month of the year for me (and most photographers), we can almost always bet on gorgeous weather for the entire month. Their wedding day was no exception. It also happened to fall on a Royals postseason game day, which was perfect since the Hogan’s are devout baseball fans! (Side note: this particular game was looking grim but the Royals came back to win and then went on to play in the World Series!)
Below is just a small preview of their beautiful wedding day. Enjoy!
While we were getting set up for the grand entrance at the reception, the staff had the Royals vs. Blue Jays game playing on the projection screens! Laura’s dad turned around with a big grin as Royals went ahead!
