Sarah + Jack Lindley | Wedding at Chrisman Manor

It’s hard to put into words how beautiful and heartfelt Sarah and Jack’s gorgeous winter wedding was.  The passion they both have for life, each other, serving others, and their family and friends is beyond anything I’ve ever witnessed.  Since Jack is from Virginia, where they met, Sarah’s family bussed a bunch of their friends to Kansas for the big day, and then from Lawrence out to Oskaloosa to the country venue.  Their whole day was filled with a lot of laughter, tears, and reminiscing, and it couldn’t have been more clear that Sarah and Jack are going to have a long, healthy, and happy life together.  It was such a great way to start out the year!

Everything was styled SO perfectly that I’m pretty sure Sarah could have a future in wedding planning.  The DIY vintage inspired details were exquisite, from the cute custom Mason Jars to the homemade wood boxes on the tables, to the amazingly unique hanging wood aisle runner.   Since her family and mine are great friends (I used to babysit Sarah and her siblings…photo below), my dad surprised them with his vintage 1936 Cord for their getaway vehicle, which went perfectly with the vintage theme.   It turned out to be a perfect day and very warm for January in the midwest, and everyone partied until late and bid the couple farewell with a sparkler exit.

A few moments after I took the full cake table photo, the mom of a little girl came up to me and apologized for her little girl stealing a cranberry from the front of the cake. How cute! :)

Old and new photos of the bride and I

I debated whether to embarrass myself with this 14 year old photo, but it’s too great not to post it. This is a picture of me in high school, with Sarah, sister Stefanie, and brother CJ. I was their babysitter when they were little, and then the bottom was, of course, at the wedding. I love this family and it was such an honor to document Sarah’s wedding day!
