Engagement Session in Lawrence, Kansas | Lauren + Sean

I met Lauren and Sean in Lawrence for their engagement session on a gorgeous January day, on one of the weather blessings we’ve had this winter!   We had so much fun walking and dancing around downtown Lawrence, then picked up their adorable puppy Mabel and drove out to some family property south of town.  It was definitely an adventure, from trying to distract Mabel from a coyote’s…erm…leftovers out in the fields, to almost getting stuck in the middle of a field near sunset when the four wheeler just decided to stop working.  We had a lot of fun though, and these two are just a blast to be around and to photograph!

It was nearly impossible to get their puppy Mabel to just sit still for a portrait. :)

The image at the top makes me laugh every time I look at it….I think Mabel was stinking her tongue out at me. :)

The lighting at sunset was just divine, especially with the golden wheat!

It happened to be a beautiful day for January, but when the sun went down it did get chilly. I’ll never pass up having my couples cozy up in a quilt!
