The last time I went to New York City, I was with my family, and nearly cried when we got to Central Park and I realized how incredible it would be to be able to photograph a client there. My creative brain was going wild in the city and I knew someday, I’d have to go back. Enter Simon, a NYC native, and Sara, a Kansas City girl relocated to the city-that-never-sleeps over a decade ago. While they are getting married at Hotel Kansas City, they chose my collection that includes a destination session, and flew me out for their New York City engagement session.

While we hit the popular spots, like Central Park, Dumbo, the West Village, and even the NYC subway, we had a blast just exploring the city. I loved learning about their time there, how they met, their favorites haunts, and just watching them be in their own little world among some of the worlds busiest streets.
